Is Pustak really free?

Yes. Pustak is open source under the MIT license. No subscription, no paid tier, no ads.

Does it need the internet?

Only once, to download the app and an AI model. After that, everything runs offline on your computer.

What kind of computer do I need?

A Windows PC with at least 8 GB of RAM works with smaller models. 16 GB or more, or a graphics card, gives faster and better answers. Pustak recommends a model for your PC automatically.

Which languages does it support?

English, Hindi and Hinglish from the start. Many other languages work too, depending on the AI model you choose.

When can I download it?

Pustak is being built right now. Star the project on GitHub to get notified when the first Windows release is ready.

Is Pustak made by Google?

No. Pustak is an independent open-source project by Vyoma Labs, the open-source wing of Vyoma Group.

Can I contribute?

Please do! Code, design, translations, bug reports and ideas are all welcome on GitHub.
